Tech research

in tech, we have been doing a little bit of research. in this research, we have had to look at what will be added in 20 years? what will stay the same? what will be taken out by and not used? and what will be taken over by robots?. I decided to make a presentation with Isaac and Jireh. I had fun researching all of this about the jobs.

what am I learning?
about jobs that could be taken over robots, jobs that could be taken out or jobs that will stay the same.

Creative writing

In English, we are writing creative writing and this is how I would explain in a sentence. There are a unicorn, sword and toad. if you want to know more then I guess you have to read it. beware there is a unitoad as a photo so if you have a phobia then cover the photo or ignore this post, Thanks.

what have I learnt?
that unicorns can mix with toads and that makes a unitoad. apart from that, I learnt that when you put your mind to something you can achieve your creativity. I thought I would struggle not using g but actually, it's easy.

what am I wondering?
If unitoads are real things/animals?


There once was a unicorn. This unicorn loved a toad. The problem is that the unicorn had only seen the toad once and had never seen it since. A couple months later, the unicorn saw the toad once more and didn't know how to react. She was so happy and excited, she ran up to him just to realize it wasn't the toad. It was a sword dressed up like a toad. The sword could speak. It was super weird for the unicorn. BOOM! The unicorn and sword were swept off there feet by the toad unexpectedly. The unicorn screams “ YOUR BACK AFTER YEARS” and was so ineffable.  Then they saw their mothers which were a toadally rad unicorn and they wonder what was the chance of that. In the end, the unicorn and toad found out they were related. THE END of this weird story.

Creative writing

In English we are writing about what we want to well not exactly, we are doing creative writing. my creative writing is if history had a twitter page. I wrote this way over the time limit so I am behind. I am admitting now my English and punctuation is not amazing. so here's my story.

As I got out my device I decided to post a post on twitter it went like this “OMG finally at Gallipoli #fightingforyou” then I hopped out of my boat saw a couple of guys they seemed to be hiding in bushes for some random reason then realized they made a post just like me. I go on my device and look at Twitter some guy named @Evil_Turkish_  had commented on my post. i looked a little closer and saw that they had written “ HAHAHA we are right above you guys and about to attack #yougonnadie” I was so scared at that moment it was life or death, and then *BANG BANG BANG* I had gotten shot I was laid on the ground wondering what would happen if my family found out, Then I went to sleep.

I thought I had died but when I woke up I seemed to have been in a hospital boat it was so gigantic. it was very filthy with a lot of blood and stuff it was very uncomfortable. All I could do was lay there and listen to the bombs. it was just days and night of doing nothing then I realized I had my twitter. I decided to post again “ Well this is chaotic I nearly died and now I'm on a ship now #nearlydead @Evil_Turkish_”  then I waited and waited for days and nights. I finally got a reply and it said “ we tried our best to get rid of you but it was a little complicated.

Then a nurse came in my room she wanted to talk to me she said it was time for me to leave and go back to battle. I didn't want to do that to be fair, I thought the war was gonna be fun but turns out it is very boring. So I got up nodded and walked away. As I was walking away there were fewer people but still a lot of blood. I kept walking with my head down low and finally exited hoped on a boat which toke me to the beach where it started again. All I could see up and down the beach where a lot of bodies I was getting used to it now.

I decided to make another post on twitter which I thought would be my last “So this might be my last update but just so everyone knows I love you, family and friends, I will do my best for u guys   you all for supporting me I am now going back to the war for u all” then we had landed again. I couldn't see any enemies so I thought the enemies so I snuck up it to the gap in the rocks and went up the cliff to see if I could see anyone. The people that were on the boat with me and we hid in a bush while the enemies got into position so that they couldn't see us. We stayed there for a couple of days.

When I was ready I put my arm up and lip-synced “3,2,1” we decided to go and shot I rushed and killed half of them while we were all shouting and shooting. I decided to post on twitter, “omg I just killed so many people. #waytocomeback”. We all went and decided to find everyone else in our team. We went into our bunker and found out that half of the enemy team was dead. It was very scary looking out of the bunker because all I could see were bombs and sometimes u could hear shots. I thought to myself my twitter page is going so well, then “BING” my phone went off.

I decided to look at it and I saw another message from @Evil_Turkish_  “ we can see you, you are there getting messaged.” I decided to sit down and look at all my letters from my family I put my phone in there and got screamed at by my captain. He was saying about how he wanted to win and how we needed to get back out there. My phone went off again @Evil_Turkish_  had posted again “ WE NEED TO WIN THIS WAR, OTHERWISE WE GONNA DIE”. I decided to write on the post “ @Evil_Turkish_ we don't wanna know about you guys losing because it's gonna happen”

I was super tired at that moment and I could sleep otherwise my captain would yell at me. His name was captain Timothy Green.  He didn't like us much but he didn't know about failure and he didn't want to know about failure. He came in and said to me “get up you lazy person” I said wait a minute and grabbed my phone. I walked out and decided to go look around.  I got up and shot and shot, but in the end, it wasn't enough I got shot. I was in and out of consciousness.

I woke up again and was back in the bloody ship, I hated it. Weeks went by and I got released again.  I said to the nurse “thank you again for saving my life” and left. I went back to the fight and it was the last month. I posted on twitter again “ I finally got out again, but it's very gruesome here. Someone come to collect me”. A couple weeks passed and finally, it was the last day. We shot and shot our guns. We couldn't help celebrating before we won. Then it all went wrong. We all were going down, one by one everyone was getting shot. There was at least 5 of us left. All of us 5 decided to shot and we did so well, that somehow we had won. We won the world war 1. The first thing I did was hug my mates. Then I grabbed my phone and posted “OMG WE WON, WE FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY AND WON. (sorry everyone looking at this I am so happy)”I posted.

It took so long to get back from Gallipoli So I decided to post one more time “I'm coming home, I'm coming home, tell the world I’m coming home” I posted it and waited and waited. I fell asleep while waiting for responses. I sleep for about 24 hours. I woke up to people screaming and shouting and those people weren't exactly close. I got up and got changed I got up and saw ………… no words could explain what I saw. Ok well, let's just say I saw people and flags and it was very colourful. The boat stopped.

I collected my stuff and got up. I was so happy when I hopped off the boat there must have been at least 5 thousand people. I went and saw my family we all were so happy to see each other. I ran up to them and hugged them all. We were all so jubilant.

what am I learning

I am learning about writing creatively but with a subject, I have to stay by. I don't think I stayed by that subject in this story

Why didnt they have names for the ship? like why was it called hospital boat?.

Shes Amazing At Acting

So in drama, I and Sam decided to practise sams script. For Sams passion project she is doing Bugsy Malone, while me, on the other hand, I am doing wearable arts. Sam asked me to help her with her lines and I was Tallulah's, Bugsy's, and Fat Sam. we first went over the lines and then we decided to get up and act it. I loved it well I am not the acting type of person but like I did so well acting it out, I wouldn't really do it again but I tried my hardest. I could have had more enthusiasm, but it was my first time acting out and acting like a guy.  Sam is so good at acting as blousy, Well shes amazing at acting anyway. sam has been acting since she was younger so I can see why.

As you can see I was so into the script, but I'm not exactly the reading type. I am bad at reading so I don't think I could read a script again (i still hate this photo).

Tech End Of Subject Result

Balancing Toy

In tech, we had to make a balancing toy it was really hard at the time but I got threw. in the end, I did not finish because my work got stolen.

losing my work and using a drill (i am scared of machines)

I just started again even when I want to give up. and with the drill, I got someone else to do it (which wasn't the right choice)

I got better at being patient.

As I said above I didn't finish and this is all I had in the end. if I had more time I would have completed it. I think I need to stop talking.  I Really think I could have done better and I should have but I didn't so I didn't finish, that's my fault. But  in the end I had fun and that's all that matters

Dragon Heart Part 6

Dragon Heart Part 5

this is my Freytag pyramid. I took a screenshot of Freytagtag pyramid because it is easier to add. there are  7  different parts exposition, rising action, initial incident, climax, falling action, resolution, denouement.

what am I learning?
I learnt/learning about how to make a free tag pyramid. Sam helped me learn a lot about (click her name to go to her blog).

How does this work show my learning?
it shows i can make a frey tag pyramid and learn about it in the time of 30 minutes.

what am I wondering as a result of learning?
I am wondering why we put the dots on the pyramid.

Dragon Heart part 4

this is the vennage that I did. This vennage show most of the scenes in the movie study dragon heart.

what am I learning?
I learnt how to make a timeline properly because I was didn't know how to make one properly.

What am I wondering as a result of this learning?
i am wondering if i should have added a photo of the movie or anything like that.

In film study the first week we had to do what visual and sound were used. we had multiple options and they created our own dictionary, create a kahoot, a pick a path, create a crossword. the one I did was the kahoot because it looks really fun.

We had to take photos of some different shots. the different shots are close-up, medium close-up, medium shot, mid shot, long (wide) shot, extreme long-shot, low angle, high angle, eye level, pan, tilt, tracking, overhead, over the shoulder, mise en scene. In English, we have to do a lot of activities. This is my 3rd one. This activity we are supposed to make at least 4 thinglinks on the movie dragon heart. Here are the ones I have done. we have to state the shots used and why we think they used those shots.

Proteins Test

Biuret Test

Aim- To test if a sample of food contains protein.

Equipment- Test tube, Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), Copper sulfate (CuSO), Food sample. 

Method- 1. place about 2ml of sample into a test tube and add 5 drops of sodium hydroxide.  2. add 5 drops of copper sulfate. 3. shake test tube gently from side to side.

Conclusion- the eggs turned into a galaxy purple for everyone else (My groups changed to blue, yellow and purple.) the milk first went blue and then went lavendar purple then went a darker purple.

Science Testing

Testing for simple sugars- the Benedicts test

Aim - to test a sample food to determine whether it contains simple sugars.
equipment- bunsen burner, test tube tongs, benedicts solution,  a sample of food
method - 1. place about 2 ml of the of the sample into a test tube and then add 5 drops of benedicts solution. 2. heat with a bunsen burner until it changes colour. do not boil

Testing for complex - the iodine test

Aim- to test if a sample of food contains the complex sugar
equipment- test tube, food example iodine solution
Methods- 1. place about 2 ml of the sample in a test tube 2. add 3-5 drops of iodine and mix.

What level am I on?
I am on my restricted which means I have some control over my work, I need to work in the same place as my teacher, my teacher allocates my seating, I can listen to music with teacher permission, my work is decided by my teacher with limited choice, I can work in pairs or groups (decided by my teacher), I cannot use my phone in class, I cannot eat in class, I do not have kitchen privileges, I must ask to leave the class.

Why am I there?
I am mostly get distracted by people and sometimes distract them. I sometimes rush my work to finish but I don't do it to a high standard. I am sometimes late for class.

what do I need to go to get to the level?
To get to the next level I think I need to stop talking. I also think I need to try to get my work done on time.

Wonder Post 1

1. What was Augusts one wish that he wanted, if you could change your appearance, what would it be.  

Auggie wishes he had a normal life. if I could change anything about my appearance I would most probably change all my looks. 

2. What do you think it means to be ordinary? What makes Auggie extraordinary?
I think it means your like everyone else.  that he is different to everyone else.

3. how do people react when seeing auggies face for the first time? how would you react?
they look away and some even run.

4. august dad said " so sending him off to middle school like a lamb to the slaughter" what does this mean?
that is he goes to school just to be bullied basically.

5. would you send august to school if you were his mum or dad? explain.
yes, I would show people that everyone's different.

6. what white lie did August's mum tell? Why did she do it? is it OK to tell white lies?
"you told me it was an IQ test", she did it to protect him, it is.

7. Auggie decided he liked Mrs Garcia- when she wasn't wearing her shiny smile. what is a shiny smile?
basically a fake smile.

8. how does Auggie know the first time he meets Julian that he will be a bully? what are some of the ways?
that he was like being rude to some of the some of the teachers,

Wonder part 8

1. Explain August's fear of school retreat/camp were they justified? he was scared to try something new because he would have been away from his parents.

2. compare Eddie and Julian. how are they similar/different. how do their interaction with august reveal their character?
eddie overreacts when he meets Auggie and Julian just asked questions but in an overreacting way. eddie screamed when he met Auggie.

3. explain how august relationship with his classmates has changed since he first started going to Beecher prep. give an explanation?
After the camp situation, everyone was proud of Auggie for standing up to the bullies. but when Auggie first started most people would have called him a "freak, monster" etc.

4. describe how August has shown greatness during his year at Beecher prep? do you think he deserves a medal? why?
in my opinion, he has shown greatness, Auggie definitely deserves a medal because when all of the kids were bullying him he raised his head and ignored them and that is a hard thing to do.

5. compare the character of Auggie at the beginning of the book and in the and in the final chapters how was he changed and what was contributed to his change?
in the beginning, Auggie was scared to do most things without his helmet. At the end of the story, Auggie was doing a lot of things without his helmet. he wasn't as scared because he knew most of the students and they treated him nice apart from the odd ones out.

6. describe your favourite character in the story. explain their impact on the story and why you picked them?
My favourite character would most probably be Via because she has been very strong when Auggie went to surgery and when their mum and dad gave Auggie all the attention Via. Miranda and VIa were very close and they were like sisters.

7.what do you think auggies future holds? what do you think will happen in his life? 
I think in his future he will have a good future. I think he will overcome what people think of him. in his life I think Jack will stay his friends.

Definition- a hazard is something that can hurt you or may cause death. if you don't listen to these signs you could get seriously hurt. there are a lot of hazards in the workshop example, using the saw.

Definition- this means that you have to have that certain thing/ object.   if you don't listen to these signs you could get kicked off site or even worst get fired by your boss. In the school workshop, you need hard shoes.

 In Tech we had to make our own safety sign. This is mine. My Sign means walk in the class and not run if yourun that means that you if you run you could seriously hurt. What do i mean by seriously hurt ? i mean you could fall and hit your head.

Wonder Book

This is my Venn diagram, I made it on Venngage. we had to make a Venn diagram on the differences between the book and movie. the wonder book of course. my opinion was the movie was better.

Health

I have learnt a little about Resilience. I didn't really know much about resilience because my old teachers didn't really touch on it.

it was difficult to understand information about "who moved my cheese" because like the to mice went away together and one of the people ditched his friend. 

the video who moved my cheese is about mice and people  who went to a cheese station (a place full of cheese) the cheese didsapeared and one of the people thought that someone stole the cheese but they ate it all. 

Drama

In drama, we are working on speeches. this is the slide that our teacher showed us.

Wonder Work Part 6 and Part 7

1. Explain why August doesn't like school events that include parents?
because he doesn't want people judging him. and he doesn't want people to look at him weirdly.

2." Maya left august a nice note and August said " six months ago stuff like that would have never have happened, but now it happens more and more." explain the change that is occurring?
people think he is really mean and when they get to know him they realize he's nice. They give up on Julian being rude.

3. Describe Augusts feeling about getting hearing aids. Were they justified?
August felt scared to get hearing aids but now he got them he feels better about himself. They made him hear better and he doesn't hear the sound in his head.

4. Why did via keeping her part secret from her parents? Why did vias mum say the play wasn't something Auggie wouldn't like it? because she didn't want to lose friends. because Olivia didn't want Auggie going to the play.

5. August said "I think there should bed a rule everyone should get a standing ovation at least once in there lives" explain what this means and why he believes it?   means like he thinks like people that look like him (not being rude) should have the spotlight once in their lives.

6. What effect did daisys death have on everyone?  the whole family were so upset that she was gone but the auggies my thought it was the right time for her to go.

7. Why did Miranda claim sickness before the play? because she wanted to be all good via and she felt just a little bit bad.

8. After reading Mirandas, how did your perception of her change and why?  I kinda felt a little bad because like everyone's parents go to the shows and her mum doesn't.
